Japanese food and udon restaurant “Buzen Urauchi Kai Udon Sakaba Saruu” in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

In Shinjuku, Tokyo, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks. Among them, I would like to introduce Udon Sakaba Saruu.

This restaurant mainly serves Urauchi Udon from the Buzen region of Fukuoka Prefecture. Urauchi Udon is thick noodles made from a dough made of flour and water and crushed by hand, giving it a firm texture.

In addition to udon, tempura and a la carte dishes are also delicious. I had the crab miso and assorted tempura this time and they were all very tasty.

There is no English menu, but it looks like this.

In addition, the restaurant offers a selection of local sake from the Buzen region, which can be enjoyed with meals. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, with counter and table seating available for a variety of occasions.

I ordered the Urauchi Udon noodle soup with local sake. The noodles were firm and slurpable and went well with the soup. The local sake was also selected to match the udon, making for a wonderful pairing.

The waitstaff was also very attentive and made us feel very comfortable, explaining in detail about the restaurant’s atmosphere and cuisine.

All in all, Toyomae Uradakai Udon Sake Bar Saruu is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious udon noodles and local sake, and the stylish atmosphere is very attractive. Why not pay a visit?
